Nintendo 3DS announced!

As I was talking about early, Nintendo and Sony both have E3 press events today. With the Nintendo event ending just a few moments ago, there was some news that came form them as well.

This may just be as big of a deal as Kenect form Microsoft.

Nintendo announced the 3DS. A fully 3D Nintendo DS. Just like you old DSi, but with 3D, a faster and better processor (both graphic and CPU), a thumb stick for more tactile control, and 3d front front facing camera for taking 3D stills, and a much larger top screen.

The tech here is pretty interesting. They haven’t gone into detail of how it works, but NO glasses are necessary. You can enjoy 3D without the glasses. No release date (or price) as of yet but I assume it will be available soon since they have them on the show floor to test.

There is also a 3D depth button that you can set the amount of depth of 3D you want, or turn it off completely. They have also included an accelerometer in order to compete with the iPhone. This may mean trouble for Apples baby iPhone 4 which hasn’t been released yet. With the increased graphics ability which are said to be close to game cube standard in a hand held.

More info as it comes as well as some better photos.

Thanks to Engadget for the photo.

GTA: The Ballad of Gay Tony Review

On Octber 29th Rockstar Games released there newest add on to GTA 4.  Okay so as the title suggest its called “The Ballad of Gay Tony.” You play as Gay Tony’s right hand man Luis Lopez. Gay Tony is a downtown nightclub owner hotshot, but his hotshot status doesn’t last long. Buying Diamonds; losing them,  Having the Russian Mafia try to kill you AND Tony, and dealing with Tony’s junkie attitude are what this game is all about.

Almost every one wants to kill Tony, including himself. You just go day to day saving his ass until the people who want Tony dead also want you dead. I wont give any majour plot lines away so that is as far as i will go. ON TO MY REVIEW!

The game is based on GTA 4 so there are no vast changes in game play other then new cars, 3 new radio stations, and it feels as if they kept the motorcycle physics from Lost and Damned. So as for gameplay not much to be said other than amazing, but you knew that since you’ve played GTA 4. That being said. This is one of the best stories from the GTA title that we’ve scene yet, in my opinion anyways. IT IS GREAT! i beat the game is less than 3 days, and that’s not because it was short, its because i could not put the controller down for more than an hour at a time. I have spent the better part of the past 48 hours playing this game.

So in conclusion. As i said. This was my favourite GTA story to date. Action packed and gripping.

I give this game a 5/5. i have nothing at all I would change. I sit here trying to think of one, just one thing, that i didnt like. I cant…

Any ways, this game is totally worth the 19$ for the download (requires a GTA 4 Disk), 40$ if you buy the stand alone version that comes with lost and damned that does not require a GTA4 disk.

DJ Hero Review

Okay so i unboxed it earlier today as you can see in the video below. For the past few hours I’ve been playing this game. Wow. Just Wow. This game is so much fun. Unfortunately for me, like all rhythm based games, I SUCK. Well I’m just not that good.

So lets go into the detail. The game is awesome. Super fun. The music is amazing. The appearances from DJ Jazzy Jeff and the late DJ AM among other world top notch DJ’s is so cool. The mixes are so well made.

The hardware is really well made. Feels nice and sturdy, the platter like I said in my video earlier, feels almost like real vinyl. In the entire game if I can come up with only 1 complaint it also comes along with my favourite part of this game. The Hardware. the platter is awesome, but the blue button is so close to the center that the platter can run away from you if your not being careful. This is a simple fix though for DJ Hero 2, make the platter a little bit bigger so the buttons aren’t as close to the middle. My only other complaint is the cross fader. It snaps to the center, which makes sense. It’s just to let you know when your in the center, which can be useful. BUT! because it clicks when it hits the center and you are not looking at the controller you may be confused very easily. Too many times I would want to cross-fade from left all the way to the right, but I stop in the center because of the snap you feel thinking it was the other side. You may not feel this as much as I do, but for some reason I notice it enough and it happens often enough that it bothers me.

Other than the button placement on the platter, and the crossfader, I LOVE this game. My rating 4/5. Its a definite must buy.

I’m going to play!

A few people asked me if I was going to do an unboxing when I got it, so I decided why not. Its my first unboxing so its a little shaky at times. But there are more to come. The next unboxing (if I get other cool stuff then earlier) will be of Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition and it till most likely be up on November 11th.

As for a review for the game I’m writing that as we speak. It will be up in just a little bit. In the mean time. watch the unboxing.
